[livejournal.com profile] joel_rosenberg had been invited by the Twin Cities Sisters in Crime, http://www.twincitysinc.org/ , to talk with them on the topic "Sorry, Chief, But There Seems to Be a Little Too Much Keystone in Your Kops."

The Meeting was held at Once Upon a Crime, http://www.onceuponacrimebooks.com/ , and was very well received.

We then headed out for dinner. We finally got ourselves to Corner Table, http://www.cornertablerestaurant.com/home.htm , and had their extremely affordable tasting menu. It began with an amuse bouche of salmon tartare, followed by the first course of grilled shrimp with basmati rice cake. The second course was potato hash with a perfectly poached egg on top. There was a wonderful watercress salad with sultanas and goat cheese. The third and main course was a braised beef short rib. The final dessert course was a chocolate pastry for me and a caramel mini-sundae for Joel.

I think that we have a new favorite restaurant.
