fgherman at 12:32pm on 21/06/2011I just got off the phone with PayPal Limitations Department. The news is not great.
They say that because the FreeJoel site was hacked and not PayPal, that PayPal cannot restore the fraudulently diverted funds.
They did recommend that folks that had a donation that was diverted contact the bank or credit card from which the donation was made have that payment cancelled and then re-donate to me.
Given that they've done such a great job and charge so much money, I don't think any re-donations should be made through PayPal.
There is the Joel Rosenberg Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo or you could mail to me directly.
